In Sage CRM, there is a wide range of different functionality. One of that useful functionality is Escalation rules that we can use in our daily basis work like setting notification for user or sending mail to client based on some criteria and many more. By using the same functionality, users can set Birthday reminders for their customers. They can even send birthday wishes to them via email.
\nTo do the same follows below mentioned steps:<\/strong><\/p>\n

1.<\/strong>\u00a0Login into Sage CRM as an Administrator
\n2.<\/strong>\u00a0Add a new date field in pers_birthday<\/em> in person table.
\n3.<\/strong>\u00a0Then to create an escalation rule, navigate to Administration >> Advanced Customization >> Escalation<\/strong> and click on \u201cNew\u201d<\/strong> button. You will get the below screen.
\n4.<\/strong>\u00a0Fill in the following information as given below;<\/p>\n

Tick the Table option:<\/strong> Select the \u201cPerson<\/strong>\u201d entity.
\nRule Name:<\/strong> Birthday Reminder (As per your need).
\nSelect the Rule Enabled check box.
\nTrigger SQL Clause:<\/strong>
\ndatepart(day,pers_birthday-5) = datepart(day,getdate()) <\/em>
\nand datepart(month,pers_birthday)\u00a0 = datepart(month,getdate())<\/em><\/p>\n

5.<\/strong>\u00a0Click on \u201cSave\u201d button and it will redirect you to the below grid.
\n6.<\/strong>\u00a0Here click on hyperlink of \u201cBirthday Remainder\u201d escalation rule.<\/p>\n

7.<\/strong>\u00a0In this screen, click on \u201cNew\u201d Button to create a new action for the created rule<\/p>\n

8.<\/strong>\u00a0Here, click on the \u201cShow Notification on Screen<\/strong>\u201d.<\/p>\n

9.<\/strong>\u00a0Users will be navigated to below screen. Here, set column as pers_deleted and Message as #pers_firstname# Birthday Coming Up.<\/em> (You can change the message as per your convenience). Then, click on Save button.<\/p>\n

Hence, now if there are any person, whose birth date matches with the current day and month, it will show notification message on the screen 5 days before the birth date.
\nAs a result, by following the above given steps, users can explore an additional feature of Sage CRM and can set birthday reminder notifications in Sage CRM.<\/span>
