In continuation with the same, here are some more errors you might face with Tomcat and Java configurations and step to resolve them.<br \/>\n<em><span style=\"color: #993300;\"><b>Also Read: <\/b><\/span><\/em><a title=\"Error exporting reports to excel in CRM part 2\" href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/2012\/06\/26\/error-exporting-reports-to-excel-in-crm-part-2\/\">Error exporting reports to excel in CRM part 2<\/a><br \/>\nAn issue is tomcat service doesn\u2019t start up from services snap in and I get below error.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/1.jpg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" title=\"Sage CRM Sales\" src=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/1.jpg\" alt=\"Sage CRM Sales\" width=\"1012\" height=\"510\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>To check what\u2019s wrong I went to Tomcat installation folder in CRM directory.<br \/>\n<b>C:\\Program Files\\Sage\\CRM\\DEMOCRM\\Tomcat\\<\/b><br \/>\nHere I went to the <b>Logs<\/b> folder and opened <b>Jakarta service<\/b> log. And found below error.<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><em>[2013-08-08 14:21:35] [174\u00a0 javajni.c] [error] The specified module could not be found.<\/em><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><em>[2013-08-08 14:21:35] [994\u00a0 prunsrv.c] [error] Failed creating java C:\\Program Files(86)\\Java\\jre6\\bin\\client\\jvm.dll<\/em><\/span><br \/>\n<i><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">[2013-08-08 14:21:35] [1269 prunsrv.c] [error]<\/span> <span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">ServiceStart returned 1<\/span><\/i><br \/>\nWhen I checked I could not find the file on the path. Instead I could find the file on another path <span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">\u201c<i>C:\\Program Files\\Java\\jre6\\bin\\client\\<\/i>\u201d instead of \u201c<i>C:\\Program Files(86)\\Java\\jre6\\bin\\client\\<\/i>\u201d.<\/span> This pointed me in the direction that some environment variables are not correctly set.<br \/>\nHere is what you need to set so that tomcat refers correct java path.<br \/>\n1. Right click <b>My Computer<\/b>\u00a0|| <b>Properties<\/b> || <b>Advanced System Settings<\/b>.<br \/>\n2. On the window that pops up click on the button <b>Environment Variables<\/b>.<br \/>\n3. On the <b>Environment Variables<\/b> window change the <b>CRM_JRE_HOME<\/b> to correct java path as follows.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/2.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" title=\"Report Option\" src=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/2.jpg\" alt=\"Report Option\" width=\"1242\" height=\"520\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>4. Then open registry and go to <b>HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE<\/b> \u00e0 <b>SOFTWARE<\/b> \u00e0 <b>JavaSoft<\/b> \u00e0<b>Java Plug-In<\/b> \u00e0 Select available plugin.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/3.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" title=\"Chard Options\" src=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/3.jpg\" alt=\"Chard Options\" width=\"1099\" height=\"184\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Double click JavaHome string value and update correct path of Java.<br \/>\n5. You are done. Go and start the Apache Tomcat Service now and it must get started correctly<br \/>\n<b><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Some interesting QA\u2019s<\/span>:<\/b><br \/>\n<b>Q: What if you don\u2019t find java folder only under Program Files?<\/b><br \/>\nA: You do not have the Java installed.<br \/>\n<b>Q: What if you can find java folder under Program Files, but not a client folder?<\/b><br \/>\nA: You do not have the correct version of Java installed. Always look for Java installations both in Program Files and Program Files (86) if on 64 bit machines.<br \/>\n<b>Q: What is the most proper way to get this to work?<\/b><br \/>\nA: Uninstall java and install the one available in CRM setup files.
