Sometimes you can observe strange behavior of User select fields on some screens. Sometimes you see them as selection fields and sometimes as a text box with magnifying glass. Well, it\u2019s not a strange behavior, however it changes the form as per the number of users available.<br \/>\nThe functionality of User Select field changes based on the number of users enabled\/disabled.<br \/>\nWhen less than 10 users are filtered in user select field, then on any entry screen or workflow screen it is loaded as selection list. At the same time if we go and change the existing record, it gets loaded as Textbox with magnifying glass (finder) button.<br \/>\nLet me explain with an example.<br \/>\n1. To replicate this, I have disabled all the users except the Admin user using below query.<br \/>\n    update users set user_disabled=1<br \/>\n    where ltrim(rtrim(user_logon)) <> \u2018admin\u2019<br \/>\n2. Now, for this change to reflect in CRM, I executed Metadata Refresh.<br \/>\n3. Created a new opportunity and there it shows the Assigned To field as a normal selection list with only<br \/>\n    single user \u2018admin\u2019 as it\u2019s the only user enabled.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/Test.jpg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/Test.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"Test\" width=\"1112\" height=\"680\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-449\" \/><\/a><br \/>\n4. After saving the record using Save button, I navigated to the summary screen of current record.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/Test2.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/Test2.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"Test2\" width=\"1149\" height=\"537\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-450\" \/><\/a><br \/>\n5. Click on Change button and Wholla!!
