From Sage ACCPAC 6.0 onwards Sage has introduced new way of pushing the orders to SageCRM. The Quote and Order forms are now web based and designed with the help of Sage Web Toolkit (SWT) which runs based on the GWT technology.
\nThe question what remains is, how far these screens are customizable? Can we do simple customizations like modifying captions, adding text entry fields etc? Yes, some of them are actually possible. I will discuss some of those on this blog in coming days.
\nThe New Stuff<\/b>:<\/span><\/em>\u00a0\u00a0Identify Sage CRM version and its patches<\/b><\/a>
\nNow let\u2019s have a look at Document Details<\/b> panel on Web order entry page.<\/p>\n

\"1\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Suppose you want to change the caption of field Description from \u201cDescription:\u201d<\/b> to \u201cDocument Description:<\/b>\u201d. Here is how you can get this done.
\n1. The pages used for web order entry screens are kept at below path on your server.
\n<Programs folder>\/Common Files\/Sage\/Sage ACCPAC\/<Tomcat installation folder>\/Portal<\/i><\/span>
\n2. All SWT Content, Definition, mapping and Accpac database connection is present in \u201cswtServices<\/b> \u201cfolder on above mentioned path.
\n3. Other things like view, resource mapping etc. are under \u201csageERP<\/b>\u201d folder on above path.
\n4. Now to modify the caption as mentioned above you have to go to \u201cswtServices\\uiDefinitions\\oe60a\\<Language>\\sagecrmorderui<\/b>\u201d and open \u201cSageCRMOrderUIUIDefinition.xml<\/b>\u201d page in any text or XML editor.
\n5. In the above file find the widget with text \u201cxDescription:<\/b>\u201d

\n\u00a0<\/i><\/span>Now in this syntax what you see in the property \u201ctextID<\/b>\u201d i.e. \u201coe60a_sagecrmorderui_lblDesc<\/b>\u201d is the value from portal database which holds the caption text.
\nWhat you see under the property \u201ctext<\/b>\u201d is the text that loads when value cannot be retrieved from database.
\n6. Now to change the caption, you can simply remove the \u201ctextID<\/b>\u201d value and change the \u201ctext<\/b>\u201d property in widget syntax as follows.
