Same applies to SageCRM as well. SageCRM has defined the Password policies module which maps with user profiles and handles password validations.<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #993300;\"><em><strong>Sage 300 ERP Related:<\/strong> <\/em><\/span><a title=\"User Role and Security Application in Sage 300 ERP\" href=\"http:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sageaccpacerp\/2013\/07\/31\/user-role-and-security-application-in-sage-300-erp\/\" target=\"_blank\">User Role and Security Application in Sage 300 ERP<\/a><br \/>\nThese policies are configured under <b>Administration -&gt; Users -&gt; Security -&gt; Password Policies <\/b>section<b> <\/b>as shown in below screenshot.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/PasswordImg1.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6409\" alt=\"PasswordImg1\" src=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/PasswordImg1.jpg\" width=\"457\" height=\"230\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We can apply password policies to 3 levels of users <b>Administrators<\/b>, <b>Info Managers<\/b> and <b>Users with no admin rights<\/b>.<br \/>\n<b>1. Administrators<\/b>: These policies are applicable to all the users having system admin rights set in <b>Administration<\/b> field in <b>Administration <\/b>| <b>Users <\/b>| <b>Users <\/b>| <b>User Details <\/b>tab.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/PasswordImg2.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6410\" alt=\"PasswordImg2\" src=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/PasswordImg2.jpg\" width=\"788\" height=\"295\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><b>2. Info Managers<\/b>: These policies are applicable to all the users who are having <b>Info<\/b><b> Manager<\/b> rights set in <b>Administration<\/b> field in <b>Administration <\/b>| <b>Users <\/b>| <b>Users <\/b>| <b>User Details <\/b>tab.<br \/>\n<b>3. Users with no admin rights<\/b>: These policies are applicable to all the users who are having <b>No Admin rights<\/b> set in <b>Administration<\/b> field in <b>Administration <\/b>| <b>Users <\/b>| <b>Users <\/b>| <b>User Details <\/b>tab.<br \/>\nNow we will move to the Password policies options. When you click on the hyperlink of any above password policy you will be able to view following options.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/PasswordImg3.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6411\" alt=\"PasswordImg3\" src=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/PasswordImg3.jpg\" width=\"892\" height=\"292\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><b>1. Minimum length of password<\/b>: This option will set the minimum length of password which user wants to set in their password. If we set the length to 0 then other options will be disabled. The maximum password length which user can enter is 20.<br \/>\n<strong>2.<\/strong> <b>Require complex password<\/b>: This option requires that the password should contain a character from at least three character sets. The character sets are uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and other characters. The first character of the password can only be either a letter or a number with or without this setting enabled.<br \/>\n<b>3. Check User Name<\/b>: This option checks whether the user name and password are not identical.<br \/>\n<b>4. Strong User Name<\/b>: This option checks that the password does not match the reverse of the user name, or the user name with common substitutions. If the DICTIONARY.TXT file exists in the WWWROOT subdirectory of the CRM install, then the password is checked against words in the dictionary, the reverse of words in the dictionary, and words in the dictionary with common substitutions.
