Whatever data is entered, exported all relates to Company records in some way or other. Considering this fact it becomes very necessary that the Company records are maintained properly in CRM.<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #993300;\"><em><strong>The New Stuff:<\/strong><\/em><\/span> <a title=\"Implementing Password Policies in SageCRM\" href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/2014\/01\/10\/implementing-password-policies-in-sagecrm\/\" target=\"_blank\">Implementing Password Policies in SageCRM<\/a><br \/>\nSageCRM has already provided some checkpoints as follows to handle the company names correctly.<br \/>\n1. We can enable Dedupe behavior to avoid duplication of records.<br \/>\n2. We can write validate scripts on Company name field of company entry screens to validate the junk characters.<br \/>\nHere I will discuss an approach that comes out of the box to keep Company names in proper format. You can use inbuilt feature named <b>Company Name Clean Up<\/b> available under <b>Administration | Data Management<\/b> for this purpose.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/13.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6423\" alt=\"1\" src=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/13.jpg\" width=\"732\" height=\"385\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Using this feature we can specify predefined set of rules to be applied on Company Name field, when company records are being entered.<br \/>\nLet us consider an example that your users have a habit of entering \u201c&amp;\u201d in place of \u201cAnd\u201d.\u00a0 You cannot control this, however what you can do is to specify a rule which replaces \u201c&amp;\u201d with \u201cAnd\u201d when record is entered. Here is how you can achieve it.<br \/>\n1. Login to SageCRM.<br \/>\n2. Go to <b>Administration<\/b> | <b>Data Management<\/b> | <b>Company Name Cleanup<\/b>.<br \/>\n3. Select\u00a0\u00a0 <b>Characters or Strings to replace <\/b>option from list.<br \/>\n4. Click on <b>New<\/b> button.<br \/>\n5. Below screen will display<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/2.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6424\" alt=\"2\" src=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/2.jpg\" width=\"907\" height=\"169\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>In above mentioned screen you have to enter below give details e.g.<br \/>\n<b>Details:<\/b> &amp;<br \/>\n<b>Replace with:<\/b> And<br \/>\n6.
