\u201cSetup has detected that CRM URL rewriter may not be working properly \u201c is one of the scariest error in Sage CRM 7.x history. This time I got this issue in Sage CRM 7.2 version while upgrading from 7.1, what we found is two IIS modules ARR (Application request routing) and URL Rewrite which gets installed from CRM setup are not getting installed.<\/p>\n

Then we decided to install these modules manually, below are the steps to install these modules manually:
\nInstalling ARR (Application Request Routing )module in IIS :<\/strong>
\nTo install this module itself you will find it on CRM v7.2 install setup, in \\CRM72\\Sage CRM 7.2a.1 Full Install –<\/strong> EN NA\\Sage\\CRM\\Utils\\EN\\UrlRewriter\\64\\<\/strong>
\nYou will get both 32 and 64 bit setups available, choose accordingly.
\nRun this setup as admin user and check if this is installed in IIS
\nIf URL Rewrite Module is also missing:<\/strong>
\nThis is a required component when installing Sage CRM 7.2 to resolve this issue, again you need to install the URL Rewrite Module for IIS manually.
\nThis can be downloaded via the link below (Please check that you are downloading the correct version for your operating system and IIS version)
\nMicrosoft URL Rewrite Module 2.0 for IIS 7 (x64)<\/a><\/p>\n

Once both modules installed you can check them in IIS as highlighted below:
\n\"Image1\"<\/a>After this has installed successfully, you will need to ensure the URL Rewrite rules created for CRM in IIS hence you need to create URL Rewrite Rules for CRM for which; run the Sage CRM 7.2 full install and select the change install option and then select the IIS Alias option. This will recreate the URL Rewrite Rules for Sage CRM when completed, created rules will display under URL Rewrite module in IIS
\nNote: The techniques or examples contained in this blog are tested on Internet Explorer and Chrome for Sage CRM 7.2 version over IIS 7.5. You should test these functionalities thoroughly before implementing any changes of this nature on production server.<\/em><\/p>\n
