It has an ability to automate financial processes and also provides financial reporting<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this blog, we will be discussing about user types in Sage Intacct.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When we configure a user, it\u2019s vital to choose the proper user type. The type of user determines most of the functionalities that a user can access in Intacct.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Below are some points to be remembered regarding users<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>User type<\/strong> determines the maximum of what user can see or do.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Additionally, user\u2019s permission controls what a user can see or do.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Users can\u2019t access functionalities that are not allowed to them by their user type; irrespective of their roles or permissions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A Users type at the highest range with options and features will determine what the user will have access to in Intacct.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Business users are the sole user who will directly have an effect on the overall ledger.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Some user types within Sage Intacct are listed below with its specific functionalities:<br>1. <strong>Business:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>All level of accessibility.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Make sure all admin (complete or up to specific limit) users are business users.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Carries out financial transactions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>2. <strong>Employee<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>View and list data, like Items and Warehouses.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>View dashboards.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Approve bills as well as purchasing transactions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Run basic reports and pre-defined financial and custom reports.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Unable to create financial transactions, such user can\u2019t create Journals.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>3. <strong>Project Manager (Subscribed to Projects)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Similar to Employee user, with additional functionalities.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add a project and its subsequent tasks.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add a purchase order; and Run reports.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>4. <strong>Platform (Available to Platform Services)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Similar to Employee user, with additional functionalities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Complete access to all custom applications created through Platform Services.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>5. <strong>CRM<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Used in Salesforce integration.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>6. <strong>Warehouse (Available to Inventory Control subscription)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Similar to Employee user, with additional functionalities over Order Entry, Purchasing and Inventory Control.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Edit transactions; price and price lists entries in those price lists.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Run standard reports.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Able to process purchasing transactions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Can use warehouse transfer and restore inventory.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Assigning User Types to a user is very important to maintain the security and access controls of the features so that user doesn\u2019t make the changes which is not the part of his\/her role.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-size: Medium;\"><strong>About Us<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Greytrix has a wide product range for Sage Intacct- a Cloud ERP.
