Sales Commission App for Sage Intacct simplifies commission tracking and ensures accurate commission calculations and timely payment to sales representatives. So, after Setting up commission structure as the key component of our Sales Commission app., Sage Intacct users can easily do the commission calculations and automate commission Posting and payments on sales transactions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this blog, we will discuss how the commissions are calculated and posted in Sage Intacct using our Sales Commission app. Users are able to calculate the commissions on posting the sales transactions into the Sage Intacct. Our application is integrated with Order entry, Accounts Payable and General Ledger. For calculating the commission, our application provides you some custom screen to define commission structure. Once, the commission structure is defined as per your business requirement, the whole commission calculation process is automated and the user is able to process the post and pay commission function in the Greytrix Sales Commission App.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Commission Calculation<\/strong>
When the users post the sales transaction, users have to select the commission group and commission type for that particular transaction at line level as it is defined in the commission structure. For each line item, by clicking on \u2018Show Details\u2019, a panel will appear wherein you can select \u2018Commission Plan\u2019 and \u2018Commission Type\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n

If no Commission Plan is selected, then the Commission Plan of the selected Customer will be applied to it. If no Commission Type is selected and the Account label used in the transaction has a Commission Type associated with it, then the associated Commission Type would be assigned as default for the line item. Otherwise, the Commission Type of selected Item will be applied by default.<\/span><\/p>\n

Once, the user posts the sales transaction, our app calculates the commission. After posting these transactions as per the matrix defined automatically, the commission for the transaction is calculated.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

Post Commission<\/strong>
After the commission is calculated, we have two custom screens:

1. Post commission
2. Pay commission<\/strong>

Post-commission means whatever commissions calculated for the sales transaction are allocated to the respective salesperson as defined into the commission structure.<\/p>\n\n\n

The Post Commission screen displays Invoices from the \u2018View Invoice Commission\u2019 list with status as \u2018Completed\u2019. Here, the user can filter records using fields such as Invoice No., Invoice created date and Customer. On clicking \u2018View\u2019 button, we can see a list of Invoices that has commission of all line items calculated. If filters are used, only the list of Invoices within the filtered range will be displayed as shown below:<\/span><\/p>\n

On click of the \u2018Post\u2019 button, the Sales commission app distributes the calculated commission among all the salespersons. Along with this, the payable commission is posted as a GL entry using the expense account mapped in the configuration screen. Users can see the calculated commissions on the \u2018View Invoice commission\u2019 screen in Sales commission App or on the respective AR invoice.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n
