It\u2019s not fun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/sage-intacct\/\"><u>Sage Intacct<\/u><\/a>&nbsp;has had match tolerances for a while to help keep these things in check. It basically double-checks whether what you ordered, what you received, and what you\u2019re being billed for actually line up. Most of the time it does; sometimes it doesn\u2019t.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.intacct.com\/ia\/docs\/en_US\/releasenotes\/2025\/2025_Release_4\/2025-R4-home.htm?tocpath=All%20release%20notes%7C2025%20Release%204%7C_____0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong><u><strong>2025 R4<\/strong><\/u><\/strong><\/a><strong>&nbsp;update<\/strong>&nbsp;adds something that honestly makes life easier: it shows you exactly <em>why<\/em>&nbsp;a transaction didn\u2019t match.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What Match Tolerances Actually Do<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Think of them like guardrails. You can set a small allowance for price or quantity differences\u2014for example, if the price goes up by 1% or the shipment is short by a tiny amount, it may still be acceptable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But if the difference is bigger than what you\u2019re okay with, Intacct stops the transaction and says, \u201cHey, something\u2019s off here. You had to dig a bit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now, Intacct shows a clear Exception summary\u2014basically a small panel that explains:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>what quantity didn\u2019t match<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>how much the unit price changed<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the percentage difference between the documents<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>No guessing, no hunting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you ordered 10 items and the vendor invoice says 12, you\u2019ll see that clearly.
