In Sage 500, once completed the definition of a GL account structure, they cannot be deleted, reduce the size or change the type of any existing account segment. The only change that can be made to an existing account structure are to increase the size of an existing account segment or append a new segment to the end of the current account structure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If User need to integrate or migrate existing GL account to other accounting package, user will allowed to insert a new segment only at the beginning or between can be modify existing account segment to append new segment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By selecting \u201cInsert Line\u201d from the right click menu, a blank line will be inserted above the selected segment in the grid.  The current \u201cAdd Line\u201d option will continue to append a new line at the end of the grid.  All other restrictions to changes to existing account structures will remain the same.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once user change GL account segment to append new segment, the process automatically generate default value zero on the location of new segment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
