Almost all enterprise systems available in market provide some kind of import and export data to\/from the system. Likewise, Sage 100 (MAS 90\/200) ERP<\/a> provides a powerful mechanism to import\/export data through Visual Integrator. In VI, one needs to create Jobs (import\/export) as per his\/her needs.<\/p>\n

We would be discussing, as how one can export data using VI Jobs. Generally, VI supports connections such as ODBC, CSV, ASCII, etc. keeping logic, and selection criteria intact for the jobs.<\/p>\n

To create Export Job follow below mention steps:<\/p>\n

  1. Start Sage 100 (MAS 90\/200) ERP system and navigate to MAS 90 >> Modules >> Visual Integrator >> Main >> Export Job Maintenance.<\/li>\n
  2. You will see \u201cV\/I Export Job Selection\u201d screen. Enter Export Job Name in \u201cJob Name\u201d field and select Table Name from lookup, for which you want to export data and click Accept button.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    1. A prompt will appear \u201cWhether it is a new job.\u201d Click on <\/span>Yes<\/i> button to continue if it is a New Job (Or you can use the previously set jobs to Import\/Export).<\/span><\/li>\n
    2. You will see <\/span>\u201cExport Job Maintenance<\/i>\u201d screen. Navigate to <\/span>\u201cConfiguration\u201d<\/i> tab and enter description in \u201c<\/span>Long Description<\/i>\u201d field, select \u201c<\/span>File Type<\/i>\u201d and browse file in which you want to export data.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      1. Then the \u201cData<\/i>\u201d tab, select required\/desired fields from \u201cAvailable Fields<\/i>\u201d using \u201c<\/span>\u25ba<\/span><\/i>\u201d button i.e. \u201cAdd Selected Field<\/i>\u201d button.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        1. In \u201c<\/span>Select<\/i>\u201d tab, you can apply filter for the fields.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          1. Select those fields, on which you want to apply filter. Double click on the selected field and you would be able to see the below screen.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

            1. Set the conditions accordingly and click on <\/span>Accept<\/i> button.<\/span><\/li>\n
            2. In \u201c<\/span>Sort<\/i>\u201d tab, you will have options to sort (Ascending\/Descending) order.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

              1. Thus, creation of Export Job is completed and is ready for execution. To execute, click on <\/span>Accept <\/i>button, it will prompt for \u201c<\/span>Execute this Job?\u201d<\/i> click \u201c<\/span>Yes\u201d<\/i> to continue.<\/span><\/li>\n
              2. You can directly execute this job by clicking <\/span>Accept<\/i> button or else can test by clicking on <\/span>Test<\/i> button.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                1. Once the execution is completed, you will get Export summary screen. If you want to view job log file you can click \u201c<\/span>Yes\u201d<\/i> button or else click <\/span>No<\/i> button.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
