Recently we had a requirement wherein the name of the columns need to be dynamic. That is, based on the user selection the titles of the columns in the grid need to be changed. For those with prior .Net or Java this is just a matter of assigning a title string to the column object. However, in Sage X3 that uses 4 GL programming, the steps are slightly different. So let us see how to do it in Sage X3.<\/p>\n

First of all, add enough number of columns you might require on the screen (Table). Make sure that the Column Description field is left blank to be set later.
\n\"\"<\/a>You might want to change the title on user selection or change of fields on the screen. Narrow down the event to be handled say \u201cAVANTBOUT\u201d that handles the button click event. Now just use the below-mentioned code statement.<\/p>\n

Titcol [M:XYZ1]NBLIG \u201ctitle\u201d For COL0001
\nHere,
\nTitcol is the command that sets Column Title.
\n[M:XYZ1] is the screen name(abbreviation).
\nNBLIG is the grid control variable.
\n\u201ctitle\u201d is the constant string to be set as title.
\nCOL0001 is the name of the column field
