As we know, before any accounting operations, the accounting financial years involved must be created and open. This function is therefore used to manage, by company, the status of the financial years. Associated with that particular entry transaction validation screen. You may also get an error as \u201cIncorrect date\u201d while creating transactions in Sage X3. We can resolve this by opening the fiscal year for the respective company\/site.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\nstart date of the first financial year is defined at the level of the Company\nrecord. It cannot be earlier than the start date of the first financial year\ndefined during the creation of the folder. The end date is by default 12 months\nlater, but it can be modified directly in the financial years management\nfunction.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Steps:<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Navigate to :<\/em> Common data > G\/L accounting tables > Fiscal years<\/strong><\/li>
  2. Click on Fiscal year to open new financial year. Refer below screenshot.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    1. Select the dropdown Y\/N as \u201cYes\u201d against fiscal year which you want to open. Refer below screenshot.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      1. Now, click on \u201cOpening\u201d to open fiscal year.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        1. Set dropdown against fiscal year as \u201cYes\u201d and click on OK.<\/p><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

          It will open the required fiscal\nyear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
