LOP stands for Loss of Pay. In some organizations, this is also called as LWP (Leave\u00a0Without Pay) or UPL (Unpaid Leave). In order to calculate the LOP days and deduction automatically in Sage X3 people<\/a> there are few steps needs to be followed, Below are the details.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

LOP needs to be applied from the portal by employee or HR, The below are the configurations required to be setup LOP leave in Sage X3 people<\/a> for automatic LOP configuration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step: 1<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Navigation: – Time management -> Parameter Definition -> Nature of Event<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Create Nature of Event for LOP. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Select the values as shown in the image as it will create\nthe LOP event which can be further use to configure the LOP leave type<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step: 2<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Create a variable to input the LOP days in payslip<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Navigation: – Setup -> Payroll Plan -> Variables<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As shown in above screen, update type should be selected as\n\u2018Time detail\u2019 for automatic leave capture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Set the input as employee so that the LOP days can be\nentered (if need to do the manual transction) through Employee payslip under\nthe Leave tab screen as shown below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Note – Make sure that to check the profiles wherever this\nconfiguration applies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step: 3<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In order to calculate the LOP deduction amount there is a need to create the salary component in the headings, below are the details for the same<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Navigation: – Setup -> Payroll Plan -> Headings<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Formula = Gross Salary\n\/ 30 <\/strong>(This heading will calculate the gross salary of employee for one day)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Create Heading for LOP calculation and map the relevant total<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Formula = Gross per\nday* Number of LOP days <\/strong>(LOP variable created above) This heading will\ncalculate the Loss of Pay deduction amount based on the number of LOP days\nentered in the portal<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The below mentioned totals are to be linked for the heading\nLOPD;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Select the appropriate values as shown in the above screen<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step: 4<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

After setting up the configuration for headings there is a\nneed to create the Totals for LOP days which will be used to fetch the values\nin reports and leave related processes <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Creation of totals as shown in below fig;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Navigation: – Setup -> Payroll Plan -> Totals<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A) Unpaid MTD Accrual<\/p>\n\n\n\n

B) Unpaid YTD Accrual<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step: 5 <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

a) <\/strong>Create Annual Leave period for LOP and map all the totals as shown below. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Navigation: – Time management -> Leave – Absence -> Annual leave -> Annual Leave Periods<\/p>\n\n\n\n

b) Create RTZ Heading and map all the totals as shown below;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Navigation: – Setup -> Payroll Plan -> Headings<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is the common RTZ which will be used to lapse all types\nof leaves during year-end process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step: 6<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Entry of Absences from admin login<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Navigation: – Time management -> Leave – Absence -> Absences -> Entry of absences<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step: 7<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Time cut-off <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This function enables a user to fetch all the leaves applied\nfrom employee portal and admin login.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Navigation: – Time management -> Time – Labor -> Input -> Time data transfer<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Note :- Before doing time cut-off process make sure that\npayslips of employees for whom LOP has been updated are in entered state as\nshown below;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step: 8<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Check whether the leave details are updated in payslip\nscreen after doing time cut-off<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Note: – A user has to Process payroll for the LOP value to be calculated and get reflected in payslip as shown below<\/p>\n\n\n\n

a) Check leave taken value in Employee Leave detail<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Navigation: – Time management -> Leave – Absence -> Inquiries -> Employee Leave detail<\/p>\n\n\n\n
