Freight charges refers to the Freight rate or the Price that is charged by a carrier for delivering goods from Source location to Destination location. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
You may come across a situation where you would like to add elements like discounts, freight charges etc on the sales order . Sage X3<\/a> has a feature to add different invoicing elements like Discount%, Discount $, Freight etc in the sales invoicing element screen. Also the entry of the position number is important as it will determine the position of the elements in respective screens. Refer below screen shots:<\/p>\n\n\n\n Navigate to : <\/strong><\/em>Setup \u2192 Sales \u2192 Invoicing Elements \u2192 Freight Charges \u2192 Element position<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n Now, check freight charge\nis added on the invoicing tab \u2192 invoicing element grid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Navigate to:<\/em><\/strong> <\/em>Sales \u2192 Orders \u2192 orders \u2192 Invoicing tab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n Refer above screen shot, as we have defined value for Freight = ‘4.05’ amount .<\/p>\n\n\n\n Now, check tax calculation on freight, how taxes are applied on Freight. As we can see that, in the\nabove screen shot the taxes which are applied on the sales order\nlines are (GST,EXO).<\/p>\n\n\n\n Now, as we can see in the\nabove screen shot that what freight charge and discounts values are\napplied on the lines. See the below calculation for Lines excluding\ntax, Excluding tax, and including tax fields.<\/p>\n\n\n\n where 32 are the lines\ntotal price and 4.05 is freight charges which is defined in the\ninvoicing tab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n here, 33.06 is the total\ntax amount which are applied on the line level I.e 5% discount is\napplied on the line1 = 32+ (5%)= 32 + 1.6 = 33.60<\/p>\n\n\n\n 4.46 is the tax applied on\nthe freight charge= 4.05 + (10%)= 4.05 + 0.405= (4.05+ 0.41) = 4.46. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n Refer below screen shot for more clarity:<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n Now , check form where Tax\n(T10) is applied on the freight Charges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Follow below steps to\nreplicate it:<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Tax rate which is\napplied on the ‘SPIC’ and ‘NOR’ is T10 and on this 10% rate is\ndefined.
