\nThe\nnew feature in V12 for managing serial numbers for product using the\n\u201cGlobal received\/issued\u201d radio button under serial no.management\nsection in Product screen increases better usability and increase\nperformance and productivity.\n<\/strong>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\nHere\nare the steps to check the benefits using the new option added for\nserial number products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\nSTEP\n1<\/strong>:\nNavigate to product screen to choose \u201cGlobal Received\/Issued\u201d\noption under serial no.management<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Navigate to:<\/em> AllCommon dataProducts. In Management tab, under Serial No.management, There are options like Not managed, Issued, Received\/Issued, Global Received\/Issued. Select \u201cGlobal Received\/Issued\u201d. Refer Fig 1.1<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

STEP\n2<\/strong>:\nCreate Miscellaneous receipt for the product which chosen as Global\nreceived\/issued.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Navigate to: All \uf0e0 Stock\uf0e0Receipts\/Issue transactions \uf0e0Miscellaneous Receipt. Created a Miscellaneous receipt with 10 quantity for serialized product (SER_PROD_001 to SER_PROD_010).Refer the screen shot below, Fig 2.1<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

STEP\n3:<\/strong>\nEnhancement option of serial number in \u2018Detailed stock\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Navigate to: All -> Stock -> Inquiries -> Detailed Stock<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Click on Action button, serial numbers is the enhancement feature visible, click to get the serial numbers, as shown in Fig 3.1<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

\nTable\nused:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\nSerial\nNumbers are linked to STOSER table that contain serial numbers that\nare pending where as STOJOU table contains range of serial numbers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\nFew\nPoints to consider:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n1.Stocks\nis always managed in stock units<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2.Negative stock is not allowed<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\nThis\nblog helps to understand the benefits of new option (Global\nReceived\/Issued) added under serial no management section in product\nscreen that allows for one stock line to contain several serial\nnumbers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
