In Sage x3\nwe can control Discount calculation on what basis it should be calculated. In\nsales document we can enter Discount which will be calculated on 3 basis \u2018By\nunit\u2019, ‘by Line’, ‘by Document’<\/p><\/p>\n\n\n

Navigate to Setup > Sales > Price list > Structures User can see the different values for Calculation basis (Refer below screenshot).<\/p><\/p>\n\n\n\n

1.’By Unit’,\nwhich means that the amount is a unit amount applied to the sales unit entered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Value\nentered in the discount field is multiplied by quantity entered<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2.’By Line’,\nwhich means that the column amount is a fixed amount for the line.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Value\nentered in the discount field is fixed amount irrespective of quantity entered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3.’by\nDocument’, which means that it is a column that is added up in the invoice\nfooter and for which price setting rules by line group exist. The principle of\nthis calculation basis is linked to the use of grouped price lists<\/p>\n\n\n\n
