Why to create BOM Code:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n BOM Types are<\/p>\n *Sales(KIT)<\/p>\n *Manufacturing<\/p>\n *Subcontracting<\/p>\n Create BOM Code and assign BOM code to one of BOM Type above and BOM code is used for all context as BOM Type.<\/p>\n For commercial BOMs select Sales (kit)<\/strong> as the BOM type<\/p>\n Navigational Path: Common Data>BOMs>BOM Code.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n Create Commercial BOM<\/p>\n Navigational Path: Common Data>BOMs>Commercial BOM<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n Site<\/strong>: If the site is blank, it can be used at all sites<\/p>\n – Code<\/strong>: Enter the BOM code created.\u00a0 Multiple BOMs can be defined for a single product.<\/p>\n – Reference date<\/strong>: It is assigned when we create the record and it can be modified. It cannot be blank.<\/p>\n – Management unit<\/strong>: Use this field to define how the quantities of the components needed to make this parent product. Percentage is not available for commercial BOM.<\/p>\n – Use status<\/strong>: \u2018In development\u2019 meaning the components that make up the product are being defined. \u2018Available to use\u2019 the structure of the BOM is complete and has been validated.<\/p>\n Select the components:<\/p>\n Components<\/strong>:<\/p>\n – Sequence number<\/em><\/strong>: A single component can exist multiple times in a BOM by assigning a different sequence number for each instance of the component.<\/p>\n – Link quantity<\/em><\/strong>: Use this field to define the quantity of this component in the displayed unit that is needed to make the parent product.<\/p>\n – Component type<\/em><\/strong>: There are several component types that we can use on a sales\/ commercial BOM.<\/p>\n *Normal \u2013 standard component and always added to a sales transaction.<\/p>\n *Option \u2013 an optional component and it is not mandatory to add it to a sales transaction.<\/p>\n *Variant \u2013 a variant or alternative of a standard component. It is mandatory to add the standard\/ variant component to a sales transaction.<\/p>\n *Multiple option \u2013 When a value must be calculated for the provisional cost and the production cost price of the parent product.<\/p>\n *Normal (with formula) \u2013 This is the default value if we are using a selection formula.
