Signature workflow feature of Sage X3 helps in tracking of transactions. Sometimes there might be a requirement if the end user needs to add additional field in left list of any transaction which will display user\u2019s name for whom the signature is pending for approval. We can achieve this by using the following steps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Consider a purchase order transaction in which the signature workflow is active.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Navigate to All -> Development -> Data and parameters -> Tables<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Enter the table code \u201cAWRKHISSUI\u201d as shown in above figure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This table holds the tracking data for signature workflows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Go to \u201cIndex\u201d section of the \u201cAWRKHISSUI\u201d table and add new index as shown above which consists of combination of \u201cCLEDEC\u201d and \u201cFLGSIG\u201d field. \u201cCLEDEC\u201d field represents the transaction number of any transaction and \u201cFLGSIG\u201d field represents the signature flag.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Navigate to All -> Development -> Script Dictionary -> Objects<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As we are considering purchase order transaction, so enter its object code and go to its \u201cEnvironment\u201d section in which we need to add workflow tracking archive table and the index we created above with the expression as \u201c[F:POH]POHNUM;3\u201d as shown in above figure, where POHNUM represents transaction number field and \u201c3\u201d is signature field which will represent \u201cTo be signed\u201d status for the user signature pending in the workflow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Go to \u201cSelection\u201d section in the object screen and add the table \u201cAWRKHISSUI\u201d, User signature pending field \u201cDEST\u201d which will display for whom the signature is pending for approval, as show in above figure.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Navigate to All -> Setup -> Workflow -> Workflow rules<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As shown above, select the purchase order workflow code which is \u201cPOHSIG\u201d and jump to the assignment rules selected for the workflow. Here, it is \u201cYPOHSIG\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Add the desired users in the values of assignment rule as shown in above figure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now, if we navigate to Purchase order transaction, create one transaction and check its signature circuit, we will be able to see \u201cYUSR1\u201d which is first user yet to be signed as shown in below figure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since, \u201cYUSR1\u201d is yet to be signed. Hence, we are able to see \u201cYUSR1\u201d in \u201cUser Signature pending\u201d field of left list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After Signature of first user, that is \u201cYUSR1\u201d, if we open signature circuit, we will be able to see second user \u201cYUSR2\u201d is yet to be signed as shown in below figure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And also we can see \u201cYUSR2\u201d in left list of transaction as expected in the below figure for that transaction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This blog helps us to add additional field to the left list of any transaction showing which user\u2019s approval is pending for that transaction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
