Sage X3 provides an extensive knowledge base for its functions, screens and modules. This knowledge resides on the Documentation server for access through Sage X3 Screen:
\n?\\Function Help \u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>or \u00a0?\\Parameter Help.<\/strong><\/p>\n

For curious users, this help file is a great tool of knowing the system better. However, sometimes, you get a blank page while accessing help file for a given function\/ screen from Sage X3 client.<\/p>\n

In such cases, you can try the following steps which worked for me.<\/p>\n

  1. Get the help file URL located on the documentation server. You can get this URL by right click on the working help file and select Properties option. This would pull up a dialog box with the URL.<\/li>\n
  2. Start the Sage X3 client, click on the Configure(Screwdriver) button. This would pull up the Connection configuration screen.

  3. On Connection screen, click on Advanced\u2026 button. This would pull up the Advanced Parameter screen.<\/li>\n
  4. On the Advanced Parameter screen, Change Configuration Type to \u2018User Preference\u2019.<\/li>\n
  5. Type in the name of the X3 help file viz, X3_Help.Chm, in File Name box.<\/li>\n
  6. Set the Format to HTML.<\/li>\n
  7. Paste the URL in the Location box. Here make sure you the URL excludes the language path http:\/\/mydocserver\/AdxDoc_X3V62\/<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
