{"id":26548,"date":"2023-04-28T04:28:54","date_gmt":"2023-04-28T04:28:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagex3\/?p=26548"},"modified":"2023-04-28T04:28:56","modified_gmt":"2023-04-28T04:28:56","slug":"modifying-the-wo-component-product-in-sage-x3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagex3\/2023\/04\/28\/modifying-the-wo-component-product-in-sage-x3\/","title":{"rendered":"Modifying the WO component product in Sage X3"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>In <a href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/product\/erp-development\/sage-x3\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/product\/erp-development\/sage-x3\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Sage X3<\/a>, During a WO process we get Header product\u2019s BOM components auto loaded up and sometimes we want to replace a component code.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To achieve this requirement, let us take you through a simple and effective process provided by Sage X3 as shown:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We\u2019ll be referencing the following screen from Sage X3 for this:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Product Master:<\/strong> All -&gt; Common Data -&gt; Product<strong> (GESITM)<\/strong><br><strong>Work Order:<\/strong> All -&gt; Manufacturing -&gt; Planning -&gt; Work Orders <strong>(GESMFG)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Refer the screenshots for reference:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; In the below Fig. 1 we can see for the reference WO we have the following components linked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>New Stuff:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagex3\/2023\/04\/28\/refresh-graphical-requester\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagex3\/2023\/04\/28\/refresh-graphical-requester\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Refresh Graphical Requester<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<center><a href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagex3\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/Fig.-1-WO-with-Components-linked.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full\" style=\"border: 1px solid #A9A9A9; padding: 2px; margin: 2px; align: center;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagex3\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/Fig.-1-WO-with-Components-linked.jpg\" alt=\"Fig. 1 WO with Components linked\"><\/a><\/center>\n<font size=\"2\"><center>Fig. 1 WO with Components linked<\/center><\/font>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; Now let\u2019s say we want to change the first component code to its alternative code. In this window at the top right corner we can find the Replace button, after pressing it the window will fetch the Alternate product code set for the respective component.
