In Sage X3, we have manufacturing module which eases the manufacturing process and present a solution to create one Manufacturing order for finished product and semi-finished product\u2019s components are compiled automatically in the manufacturing process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Sage X3, before creating the Work order of any finished product, we will require BOM (Bill of Material) of that product. User need to create Production BOM of the finished product then only we can replicate this issue and solve it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Before we will see the working of Production BOM and its uses. A BOM is a list of raw materials, components required to manufacture a finished product. Along with the raw materials required for production, the bill of materials also mentions the quantity of each component.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this blog user will see how we can solve the issue if in any case component\u2019s requirement quantity is showing blank value in Work Order.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

As in the above screen shot, user can see the requirement quantity is blank. This is due to in Production BOM screen this component\u2019s value is defined in decimal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Navigate to:<\/em><\/strong> Common Data -> BOMs -> Production BOM<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Refer below screen shot:<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

Now to resolve this issue follow below steps: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Navigate to Common data -> Common tables -> Units of measure<\/strong><\/li>
  2. Locate to unit \u2018UN\u2019 because this is the unit which is set for that component for which user is getting blank value in requirement quantity.<\/li>
  3. Now, enter the value of 3 in the Dec. column\/field<\/li>
  4. Click Save.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n\n\n

    Now after doing above all steps, now go Work Order screen and check now the proper value will get populate for that component which was showing blank value in the requirement qty field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Navigate to<\/em><\/strong>: Manufacturing -> Planning -> Work Order<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Hence, in this way we can solve the issue if component\u2019s requirement quantity value shows blank value in work Order.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
