One of your frequent chores may involve running specific reports as a Sage X3<\/a> user. By putting up a report as a single item for a particular module, you can simplify work processes and eliminate uncertainty about which report to execute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The example that follows will show how I will add our Sales Invoice report as a menu item and then add it to my Sales Module.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Creating a New Menu Item<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Go to Administration > Authoring > Menu Items<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Click New Menu Item from the list on the right<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Enter a Code, Title, and Description<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Select Function (classic) for the Link Type<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. In the ‘Function’ field, enter AIMP~ (ex. AIMP~XX1P5_SINVE)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    2. Test the settings by clicking on the title of your report in the list on the right.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      Add your menu item to the module of your choice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      1. Go to Administration > Authoring > Pages > Menu Submodules]<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        1. Click the ‘Pencil’ to edit the module<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        2. Click the ‘Add Button’ to the area you would like to display your report<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        3. Select the Menu item created in the previous step<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

          1. Save when finished<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          2. Log out of Sage X3 and log back in to see your changes<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

            7. Click on the item to open your report<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            8. You’re all set! Your report is now added to your module and bookmarked as a favorite item!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
