For example, if we enter the date as 10\/11\/2030, it is interpreted as 10\/11\/1930.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When you enter a date with a two-digit year in Sage X3, the system determines the century based on a \u201cpivot year.\u201d The default pivot year is 2029. The two-digit max year is also known as the rollover date. This means that Sage X3 will interpret two-digit years as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>00\u201329: Years from 00 through 29 are interpreted as 2000 through 2029.<br>30\u201399: Years from 30 through 99 are interpreted as 1930 through 1999.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<center><a href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagex3\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/Figure-01-1024x412.png\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full\" style=\"border: 1px solid #A9A9A9; padding: 2px; margin: 2px; align: center;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagex3\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/Figure-01-1024x412.png\" alt=\"Figure 01\"><\/a><\/center>\n<font size=\"2\"><center>Figure 01<\/center><\/font>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>New Stuff:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagex3\/2025\/01\/17\/the-comprehensive-guide-to-sage-x3-pricing\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagex3\/2025\/01\/17\/the-comprehensive-guide-to-sage-x3-pricing\/\">The Comprehensive Guide To Sage X3 Pricing<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To overcome this issue, we found the following solution:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Setting the Upper and Lower Bound for the Pivot Year &#8211;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sage X3 allows you to define a pivot year to determine the century used when a date is entered in two-digit format. By specifying an upper bound, the system automatically calculates the corresponding lower bound. Here\u2019s how it works:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Access Locale Preferences:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Go to Administration \u2192 Administration \u2192 Settings \u2192 Global Settings<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Set the Pivot Year (Upper Bound):<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Enter a new upper bound for the pivot year. For example:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you set the upper bound to 2050:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Any date with a two-digit year \u2264 50 will be interpreted as being in the [2000\u20132050] range.<br>Any date with a two-digit year 51\u201399 will be interpreted as being in the [1951\u20131999] range.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Refer the below screenshot for your reference \u2013<\/p>\n\n\n\n<center><a href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagex3\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/Figure-02-Global-Settings-1024x427.png\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full\" style=\"border: 1px solid #A9A9A9; padding: 2px; margin: 2px; align: center;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagex3\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/Figure-02-Global-Settings-1024x427.png\" alt=\"Figure 02- Global Settings\"><\/a><\/center>\n<font size=\"2\"><center>Figure 02- Global Settings<\/center><\/font>\n\n\n\n<p>This solution prevents the system from defaulting to the 1900s for dates beyond 2029.
