{"id":32156,"date":"2026-05-29T05:41:15","date_gmt":"2026-05-29T05:41:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagex3\/?p=32156"},"modified":"2026-05-29T05:41:15","modified_gmt":"2026-05-29T05:41:15","slug":"sales-delivery-validation-using-provisional-delivered-quantity-in-sage-x3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagex3\/2026\/05\/29\/sales-delivery-validation-using-provisional-delivered-quantity-in-sage-x3\/","title":{"rendered":"Sales Delivery Validation Using Provisional\u00a0&amp; Delivered\u00a0Quantity in Sage X3"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>In the Sales Delivery screen of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/sage-x3-erp\/development-services\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/sage-x3-erp\/development-services\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Sage X3<\/a>, we have implemented a customization at the line level to support temporary delivery entry creation using a <strong>Provisional Quantity<\/strong>\u00a0field along with the standard <strong>Delivered\u00a0Quantity<\/strong>\u00a0field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Purpose of the Customization<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This customization is designed to help users create delivery entries temporarily, even when the final delivery quantity is not yet confirmed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Process Flow<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 1: Enter Provisional Quantity<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The user can enter the required quantity in the <strong>Provisional Quantity<\/strong>\u00a0field.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The <strong>Deliver<\/strong><strong>ed <\/strong><strong>Quantity<\/strong>\u00a0field can be left blank at this stage.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The user can then create and save the Sales Delivery entry for temporary or draft purposes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Validation Button Behaviour<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Provisional Quantity<\/strong>\u00a0is entered, and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Deliver<\/strong><strong>ed <\/strong><strong>Quantity<\/strong>\u00a0remains blank,<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>the Validation\u00a0button on the Sales Delivery screen will remain disabled.
