A client recently raised an issue that when a Purchase Order (PO) is rejected in Sage X3<\/a>, the system automatically closes the Purchase Order. We investigated the functionality to understand the root cause.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Signature Management (Approval Workflow) is an important feature in Sage X3, especially for maintaining accuracy and control in the Procurement and Inventory Management processes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In many cases, the user who creates the Purchase Order may enter incorrect information. The approver then rejects the PO. After rejection, the system automatically closes the Purchase Order. While this behavior initially appeared to be a system error, it is actually standard functionality controlled by a system parameter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
