Sage X3 has simple commands that help us in easily reading or writing into files.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Reading Sequential File:<\/strong> To read any sequential file it needs to open the file in read mode. Following are the commands that can be used to read the file.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Openi:<\/strong> is used to open and close a sequential file.<br \/>\ne.g.<\/p>\n<p>a. Opening a file<\/p>\n<p>Openi filepath (\u2018tmp\u2019,\u2019rdfile\u2019,\u2019\u2019)<\/p>\n<p>b. Closing the last file opened to read<\/p>\n<p>Openi<\/p>\n<p>c. Opening two files<\/p>\n<p>Openi filpath(\u2018tmp\u2019,\u2019rdfile1\u2019,\u2019\u2019) Using[YYY]\n<p>Openi filpath(\u2018tmp\u2019,\u2019rdfile2\u2019,\u2019\u2019) Using[ZZZ]\n<p>d.
