Below function is used to replace a component with another, for one or several BOM codes to select, and for one or several parent products using this component.<\/p>\n

Consider commercial BOM displayed in below screenshot. We can manually Add or delete any component which we want. But what if we want to replace component WA102 in all the BOMs where it is used as Component?<\/p>\n

This situation can be handled using the Sage X3 feature as described below.<\/p>\n

Enter below details -><\/p>\n

  1. Replaced component – component to be replaced.<\/li>\n
  2. Alternate component \u00a0– component to be replaced with<\/li>\n
  3. Quantity factor – Quantity of the replaced component can be modified for the replacing component (in the absence of strict equivalence between both references), via the manual entry of a multiplying factor of the link quantities.<\/li>\n
  4. Application Date \u2013 date from which this change is applicable.<\/li>\n
  5. Parent Product range \u2013 Range of Parent products to be affected by this replacement<\/li>\n
  6. BOM Type, code & Formula.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    1. After proceeding with the above details we will get the BOM\u00a0 FG-KIT \u00a0with component WA103 with quantity as 4.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
