Sage X3 provides a special feature to know the list all the parent products of a component<\/p>\n
The lists of where-used can be obtained simultaneously for several BOM’s and displayed on the screen or printed.<\/p>\n
The where-used cases are the following:<\/p>\n
- \n
- First level where_used case: lists of products that use the selected component directly,<\/li>\n
- Multi-level where-used cases: lists of products that use the selected component directly or indirectly. If a component is itself a component, the parent products using this component will be listed and so on until the last level.<\/li>\n
- Last level where_used case: list of parent products of lowest level (without displaying intermediary levels) that use the selected component.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
To successfully bring this functionality follow below steps.<\/p>\n
Navigate to: Common Data <\/strong>> BOM’s > Where-used> Components<\/strong><\/p>\n

- Enter the Component<\/li>\n
- Select the BOM Type<\/li>\n
- Select the BOM Code<\/li>\n
- Select the Reference Date<\/li>\n
- Select the Processing mode<\/li>\n
- Select the issues ( how want to see the result i.e. report or on screen)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
