Sage X3 has the privilege to set the preference in the \u2018Entry condition\u2019 option in the screen dictionary. It will restrict the user entry for the particular field based the user preference.<\/p>\n

Here we have steps to set the preference,<\/p>\n

  1. Navigate: Development->Script Dictionary->Screen->Screen<\/li>\n
  2. Enter the screen name. Ex. SOH4<\/li>\n
  3. Go to the fields tab.<\/li>\n
  4. Set your preference on the Entry condition field as shown in the below screenshot.<\/li>\n
  5. Save and validate the screen.<\/li>\n
  6. Do the Validation and Global validation for the associated window.<\/li>\n
  7. Do the Entry transaction validation if necessary.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    As per the preference which we provided in the screenshot for Sale order screen, the field ZATTALL will be allowed to Enter\/ Modify while creating the Sales order. In update\/delete mode, it restricted to change or look up further.<\/p>\n

    In another example, if you want to allow the user entry when Entry transaction value is ALL. Just set the preference link GFLAG=\u2019ALL\u2019 and perform the validation. Now the screen should work as per the condition which you provided.<\/p>\n
