You may come across a scenario where you may want to change the category of a Journal entry against a particular Journal Entry Type. By following below mentioned steps one can change the category in Journal entry.<\/p>\n

New Stuff:\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>How to mandate Dimension Types in any transaction wherever required at company level<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

Go to – Financials > Journals > Journal entry.<\/p>\n

Create a Journal and try to change the Default category. The system will give the following message.<\/p>\n

We need to do the few setups in Document types as follows.<\/p>\n

Go to Setup > Financials > Document types<\/p>\n

Refer above the print screen.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Select the Entry Type from the Left screen, and under Section, Category checks the check boxes against those categories which you would like to select at the time of Journal entry.<\/p>\n

Now one can use another category as well against the selected Entry Type in Journal entry.<\/p>\n
