For e.g. a purchase executive may issue a purchase order on a purchase request but only a purchase manager can approve a purchase order (w.r.t. quantity, price, discount etc.)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Sage X3 provides 4 levels of user securities where following two criteria can be met<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Whom to give access?<\/li>\n<li>What level of access can be given?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This restriction to access ERP Modules is based on the\u00a0Employees\u2019 &lt;user&gt; role and\u00a0Employees\u2019 department.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Our Sage X3 Integration Products<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/product\/sage-x3\/gumu-x3-salesforce-integration\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Salesforce &#8211; Sage X3<\/a> | <a href=\"http:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/product\/magento-sage-integrations\/sage-x3-magento\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Magento &#8211; Sage X3<\/a>\u00a0|\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/product\/sage-crm\/gumu-sage-x3-integration\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Sage CRM &#8211; Sage X3<\/a><\/p>\n<h5 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Below mentioned are the different user security levels available in Sage X3<\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Menu Profile:<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>Navigation: Set-up -&gt; Users-&gt; Menu Profile<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Menu profile can be defined to restrict the users to access all modules, screen, and reports in Sage X3.\u00a0Once a menu profile is defined, it can be assigned in users.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The menus which can be assigned are:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Existing standard menus<\/li>\n<li>Free intermediate menus<\/li>\n<li>Existing Sage X3 functions for final items.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Example of Menu profile<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Sales administrator:<\/strong> Sales Module related screens and reports (Sales order, sales invoice etc.) can be added to this profile and it can be assigned to a particular set of users, who belong to Sales department.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Nonexistent functions in Menu profile may be accessed through Tunnels, Link Explorer, Workflow return shortcut, HTML Portal page.<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><strong>Function Profile<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>Navigation: Set-up -&gt; Users-&gt; function Profile<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Function profile can be defined to restrict the users based on their function.\u00a0Once a Function profile is defined it can be assigned in users screen as shown in the screenshot below. Function Access Rights define allowed operations for each combination of the following criteria:<\/p>\n<ol style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><strong>Function Code: <\/strong>The function to which the access right policy is attached.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Site:<\/strong> The current site, depending on the context.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Options:<\/strong> Detailed operations which may be done in that function.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Example of Function profiles-<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A user can be assigned functional access like Create, Modify, Delete and other context-dependent operations.<a href=\"http:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sageaccpacerp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Sage-X3-User-Security-Levels.png\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-13851\" src=\"http:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sageaccpacerp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/Sage-X3-User-Security-Levels.png\" alt=\"Sage X3 User Security Levels\" width=\"794\" height=\"582\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Sage X3 WAS profile<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>Navigation: Set-up -&gt; Users-&gt; Sage X3 WAS profile<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A Sage X3 WAS profile can be used to associate each website with a website profile, which allows to manage rights and secure accesses to XTEND interfaces and pages for websites.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A Sage X3 WAS profile is valid only when the Web services connection check box is enabled.<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><strong>Trade Profile<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>Navigation: Set-up -&gt; Users-&gt; Trade Profile<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A trade profile can be used to associate a code of total values which includes trade profile, function, BI user profile, user profile for the web access via sage WAS. Once this setup is done, a trade code can be directly assigned to one or more users at once rather than entering these values one by one for each user sharing same trade profile.<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><strong>Row Level Permission<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>Navigation: Set-up -&gt; Users-&gt; Row Level Permission<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Row level permission is used for filtering the data to be displayed to a particular user.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Example of Row level permission<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Sales order executive<\/strong>: If a user has to display sales order of only a particular customer \u201cCUST01\u201d, then one can assign that object code, to the employee who has access of that particular customer.<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><strong>BI user profile<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Sage X3 provides another feature called BI user profile, which can be defined in user screen to provide restriction on\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.sagesoftware.co.in\/product-sage-erp-x3\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">BI Reports<\/a>.
