{"id":9444,"date":"2016-11-11T07:24:30","date_gmt":"2016-11-11T07:24:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagex3\/?p=9444"},"modified":"2023-01-16T07:24:36","modified_gmt":"2023-01-16T07:24:36","slug":"replace-work-order-components-product-in-sage-erp-x3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagex3\/2016\/11\/11\/replace-work-order-components-product-in-sage-erp-x3\/","title":{"rendered":"How to Replace Component on work order &#8211; Method 1"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify\">When it is necessary to substitute components or material on a Work Order BOM, Sage X3 allows the replacement of components on a Work Order if the Product\u2019s Routing allows it.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Following are the two methods for replacing a component with a substitution product<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong><u>Method 1<\/u>:<\/strong> Remove the original component<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong><u>Method 2<\/u>:<\/strong> Replace a component.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong><span style=\"color: #3366ff\">Prerequisite<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">1. The WO should be in <strong>Creation<\/strong>\/<strong>Save<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">2. The Work Order must be NOT ALLOCATED. If the Work Order is ALLOCATED, click on the <strong>Allocation <\/strong>button to DEALLOCATE the stock<\/p>\n<h5 style=\"text-align: justify\"><\/h5>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff\"><strong>Method 1:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Navigate<\/u><\/strong>: Manufacturing-&gt;Planning-&gt;Work Orders<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">1. Click on the <strong>Components TAB.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">2. Right Click on the Component, which you wish to exclude.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">3. Select <strong>Exclude Line.<\/strong> Notice the Line Status is now<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">4. Scroll down to the next blank line. Right Click on the Line<strong> Action button<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">5.
