This feature allows companies to efficiently assign accounts, opportunities, cases, and leads to the appropriate teams, optimizing resource allocation. Creating territory types is the first step in setting up your territory model in Salesforce.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>From <strong>Setup<\/strong>, enter and select <strong>Territory Types<\/strong> in the Quick Find box.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"color: initial;\">Click <\/span>on <strong style=\"color: initial;\">the New Territory Type<\/strong><span style=\"color: initial;\"> button.<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"color: initial;\">Enter a <\/span><strong style=\"color: initial;\">label<\/strong><span style=\"color: initial;\"> and a description. You can do this for each territory individually.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Click on the child territory \u201c<strong>Government sub 1<\/strong>\u201d. <strong>Create Rules to Assign Accounts to Territories:<\/strong> Automate assignments of new and updated accounts to territories using rules that you create and run.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Rules help define what type of accounts belong to a territory. They tell Salesforce to automatically assign accounts with matching details, like location or industry, to the right territory.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Accounts are assigned to territories based on these rules during account creation or updates, but only if the territory model is in the Active state.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Now will give the assignment rule to see working. For example, since we created an assignment rule and added a user for the child territory <strong>&#8216;Government sub 1<\/strong>\u2019, we will run the rule specifically for this territory.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Note:<\/strong> The &#8220;<strong>Run Assignment Rules<\/strong>&#8221; button will apply to all accounts that match the rule criteria.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click <strong>Run Rules<\/strong> to check the conditions met while creating an account. For testing purposes, simply add the billing state and industry to meet the condition<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You will be able to see the specific <strong>&#8220;Assigned Territories&#8221;<\/strong> and <strong>&#8220;Users in Assigned Territories&#8221;<\/strong> listed in the account&#8217;s related list.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To test this Now Login with your assigned user and the assigned territory will be shared the record\u2019s based on the territory record access configuration. And this user will able to access the particular account.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Now, users of this territory model will be able to access the record even though the account sharing rule is private.
