It’s an idea that Salesforce administrators had to wait for 8 years to materialize. It has finally been delivered in the Summer ’15 release. Now the administrators can directly test or verify the privileges for a particular user account by directly logging in as that particular user. Now the administrators no longer need to request the user to grant them access or request salesforce to grant the administrators access to all the user accounts. This feature is now generally available for all organizations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The feature can be enabled in the Security controls. To do this, navigate to Setup >> Administration Setup >> Security Controls >> Login Access Policies. Select the \u201cAdministrators Can Log in as Any User\u201d checkbox as shown below. Save.<\/p>\n\n\n

Now navigate to Setup >> Administration Setup >> Manage Users >> Users. You will see a Login link next to the other users. Click on Login for any user. This will open a new tab for that particular login. The administrator can now check if that particular user is able to view only the required pages and apps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you don’t want this feature to be available for your organization, you can contact Salesforce support to remove it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
