In this blog we will discuss about how to deploy Salesforce metadata by uploading Package into another salesforce org.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/product\/sage-x3\/gumu-x3-salesforce-integration\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Real-time, bi-directional, multi-company \u2013 Sage ERP Integration with Salesforce<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Salesforce packages are completely private to particular salesforce org, unless published or uploaded to AppExchange or any other salesforce org. Packages can be uploaded to any salesforce org to share with others privately or posted on Force.com AppExchange to share publicly.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Uploading Package in Salesforce:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Steps:<\/strong><br \/>\na.Once package is created &amp; components are added to it successfully, next step is to Upload it.<br \/>\nSo fill up all the details as below:Version Name \u2013 Enter any desired version name.<br \/>\nb. Version Number \u2013 Enter version number for identifying the package.<br \/>\nc. Post Install Instructions &#8211; Optionally, specify a link to post install instructions for the package. Click URL and enter the details in the text field that appears.<br \/>\nd. Description \u2013 Enter detailed description.<\/li>\n<li>Optionally, enter a password to share the package privately with anyone who has the password. Don&#8217;t enter a password if you want to make the package available to anyone on AppExchange and share your package publicly.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/salesforce\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/Capture61.jpg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1539 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/salesforce\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/Capture61.jpg\" alt=\"Capture6\" width=\"815\" height=\"521\" \/><\/a><\/li>\n<li>Then we need to specify the requirements. Salesforce automatically selects the requirements it finds. In addition, you can select any other required components from the Package Requirements and Object Requirements sections to notify installers of any requirements for this package.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/salesforce\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/Capture7.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-1541 size-large aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/salesforce\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/Capture7-1024x405.jpg\" alt=\"Capture7\" width=\"595\" height=\"235\" \/><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/salesforce\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/Capture8.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-1542 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/salesforce\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/Capture8.jpg\" alt=\"Capture8\" width=\"596\" height=\"327\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<ol start=\"4\">\n<li>Click &#8216;Upload&#8217; button.<\/li>\n<li>Once the package is uploaded, you can either change security or deprecate the package.<br \/>\na. Edit Security \u2013 To can change password.<br \/>\nb. Deprecate &#8211; To prevent new installations of this package while allowing existing installations to continue operating.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/salesforce\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/capture9.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1543\" src=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/salesforce\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/capture9.jpg\" alt=\"capture9\" width=\"609\" height=\"400\" \/><\/a><\/li>\n<li>Thus package is uploaded successfully.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Deploying package into target org :<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Once the package is uploaded successfully, it is ready to deploy.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Steps:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>In a browser, type in the installation URL you received when you uploaded the package.<\/li>\n<li>Enter your username and password for the target Salesforce organization in which you want to install the package, and then click the login button.<\/li>\n<li>If the package is password-protected, enter the password you received from the publisher. Then Package installation screen will appear. Simply click &#8216;Continue &#8216; for package installation. You\u2019ll see a message that describes the progress and a confirmation message after the installation is complete.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/salesforce\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/capture10.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1545 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/salesforce\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/capture10.jpg\" alt=\"capture10\" width=\"600\" height=\"250\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<ol start=\"4\">\n<li>Once the package is installed successfully, all the components of the package will get deployed to target salesforce org.<\/li>\n<li>Thus, we have discussed deploying metadata using salesforce package.
