Salesforce adds features to the existing Salesforce functionality with every release. It\u2019s always the Sandboxes that gets upgraded first so that your organization gets the look and feel of the new release. As you must be already aware, Lightning is the latest happening thing in Salesforce, and you would find lots of exciting new features as well as new enhancements related to Lightning Experience. An important thing that this release got for the developers is the convenience added to Process Builder.<\/p>\n

In this blog post we will discuss two such features added in the Process Builder.<\/p>\n

-> Reuse Names and Descriptions When cloned with New Process Version<\/strong><\/p>\n

Earlier the users had to manually enter the process name and description every time the user would try to clone the Process Builder to get the new Process Version. Now you can simply reuse names and descriptions when you do so.<\/p>\n

Cloned process are updated with new version number, so that the users can keep a track of different versions. While cloning a process, the users cannot edit the API Name and original API name is copied as it is in the cloned API name in new process version. During the cloning process, the users sees the section for the Version History of the current Process along with their status and the user can choose to delete the historical version.<\/p>\n

Earlier the users had difficulty reading the field name in the criteria or action side panel to see the entire name. Now you can simply hover over it and the entire field name just shows up.<\/p>\n
