One of them was requesting the receiver to whitelist all the Salesforce.com IP addresses. Salesforce.com uses 52 IP addresses to send emails. The user can check if he is able to receive emails from all these addresses using the Test Deliverability feature in Salesforce.com.

This feature sends email to the entered email address from all the 52 IP addresses of Salesforce. To do this, navigate to Setup >> Administration Setup >> Email Administration >> Test Deliverability. Here enter the email address for which you wish to check deliverability. Click Send. The user should receive 52 emails from 52 different Salesforce IPs. If the user receives less than 52 emails, then it implies that certain IP addresses have been blocked by the email service provider. The Salesforce IP ranges are:

96.43.144.64 to 96.43.144.65

96.43.148.64 to 96.43.148.65

182.50.78.64 to 182.50.78.79

204.14.232.64 to 204.14.232.79

204.14.234.64 to 204.14.234.79

One of the emails that will be received will appear as shown below –

Similarly there will be emails for all the other IP addresses of Salesforce. Check the IP addresses for which no email was received and whitelist that IP address.
