How to Automate Shipment Generation

This blog highlights another incredible feature of Sage X3: task automation. This critical feature allows you to automate tasks that generally require human intervention.

The automating task function is used to create bulk shipments.
With the customer masters feature, you have the power to define the level of shipment authorization. This flexibility allows you to decide whether to allow partial shipments or only deliver complete orders, adapting to your unique business needs. Let’s explore this control in the screenshot below.

After the desired setup navigate to

All > Sales > Shipments > Automatic Shipment Generation.

You can define the parameters to plan the deliveries e.g. for a specific route code, customers, order numbers etc.

Tick on the validation option if you want the deliveries to be validated. However, if this delivery are validated by different people this can be skipped to be validated later.
You can also print all the desired documents that should be printed.

Finally, click “OK” to generate a log that displays all the deliveries created. Your shipments are ready, and you didn’t even break a sweat.
