Lot Number Information on the GUMU™ Find Inventory Screen

GUMU™ for Sage CRM – Sage 100 application is a real-time bi-directional link where we synchronize all the customers and vendors data from Sage 100 to Sage CRM and vice versa. Using this integration, users can access critical ERP data — such as sales invoices, orders, and item sales history directly within the Sage CRM.

What is Lot number in Sage 100?

In Sage 100, a Lot Number is used to track a specific batch of an inventory item. It helps businesses identify when an item was received or produced and monitor its quantity throughout the inventory lifecycle. A lot number typically represents a defined batch of items — for example, products manufactured on the same date or received in the same shipment — ensuring better traceability and inventory control.

For one of our clients, we have implemented a new customization to fetch inventory item data from Sage 100, including the lot number information, and display it in a Kendo Grid. Additionally, based on the selected warehouse, the grid shows the total On-Hand Quantity, Unit Cost, and Inventory Value for the items in that warehouse.

In the standard Sage CRM – Sage 100 integration, there is a Find Inventory screen. When a CRM user clicks on the Item Code hyperlink, an option to view the Lot information is displayed. When the user clicks this link, a Kendo Grid opens and displays the lot number details specific to the selected item.

Benefits of the Lot Number Inventory Customization:

    Users can view lot number details for each inventory item directly from the CRM Find Inventory screen, eliminating the need to log in to Sage 100 separately.

    The grid can also be used for reporting and analysis, enabling users to review lot number information based on inventory items for better inventory planning and decision-making.
