While GUMU™ already supports bi-directional customer synchronization, the client required tighter control over the Account Manager field to ensure consistent, error-free data across both systems.

Custom Solution Delivered

To meet this requirement, we implemented a dedicated Account Manager synchronization customization within GUMU™. The solution includes:

  • Integration of Sage 100 Account Manager field with Sage CRM Account Manager Field
  • Custom Account Manager mapping screen within GUMU™
  • Bi-directional updates to ensure consistency

This setup ensures that updates in either system are automatically reflected in the other, eliminating manual intervention.

How It Works

  1. Mapping Account Managers
    Within Sage CRM, we provided a new Map Account Managers option which is available under Sage 100 Administration. Users can select the company (in multi-company environments) and map each Sage 100 Account Manager to a Sage CRM user. This mapping is mandatory and controls synchronization in both directions.
  1. Updates from Sage 100 to Sage CRM
    When the Account Manager is updated in Sage 100, GUMU™ automatically triggers a real-time update in Sage CRM. No manual updates are needed.
  2. Updates from Sage CRM to Sage 100
    Similarly, when a change is made in Sage CRM, GUMU™ identifies the mapped Sage 100 value and updates it automatically.
  3. Ongoing Synchronization
    The bi-directional synchronization continues seamlessly during customer imports, updates, and promotions.
