There was a very unique but interesting requirement from one of our clients recently, what they needed was along with the Customer Statement, they also wanted to have all the supporting documents to be printed sequentially after each customer’s statements so that they can attach them along statement for customer’s ready reference. (By supporting document we mean the actual Invoice or Cr Memo that is listed on the statement).
To achieve this, what we did was we incorporated ‘Print Supporting Documents’ flag on the Options tab of the Customer statements. (Refer the below mentioned screenshot) So if this is checked all the supporting documents would get printed else only customer statements would get printed, this way we managed to retain the standard functionality and were able to provide better control over the new feature.
It would be interesting to know if this kind of functionality is required by others as well.
