How to resolve the PROVIDEX Error in Salesforce – Sage 100 ERP GUMU™ Integration

When integrating Salesforce with Sage 100 ERP using the GUMU™ Integration, users may sometimes face an issue during the import routine preview when a date filter (Last Sync Field – DateUpdated) is applied.

Instead of showing the required Sage 100 records, the system only displays the total record count.

This happens due to a missing configuration. Fortunately, the fix is quick by adding the keyword “PROVIDEX” in the ERP configuration settings, you can restore the correct record-level preview.

  • No individual Sage 100 ERP records are displayed.

We’ll go step by step to solve this error

  • Navigate to the Configuration tab.
  • Click on the ERP Configuration Settings icon.

  • Locate the field named DB Type.
  • Enter PROVIDEX in the DB Type input field.
  • Save the configuration.

  • Again, navigate to the Import Routine.
  • Now, click the Preview button.
  • You should now see all Sage 100 ERP records displayed along with their total count.

After Fix

  • After adding PROVIDEX in DB Type, the preview now shows all records with counts.

The PROVIDEX error can cause confusion by hiding record-level details during import preview. Fortunately, the fix is simple: just update the DB Type field in ERP Configuration with the keyword PROVIDEX.

This ensures that both the total record count and detailed records are visible, making the import process smooth and error-free.
