The client have huge volume of transaction and need to distribute/enter serial numbers in MAS 500 system then user can used Inventory Distribution screen and defined the specific range of serial numbers for that. BUT if the serial numbers are not in range (like 11111, 12755, 17555 etc) then user has to entered each serial number separately which is time consuming task.
To make this task easy and efficient for the users, Greytrix has developed the utility that will read the Serial number from the excel file, apply the business validation against each and populate the grid with the serial number. This utility will work for all type of transaction like Shipment, PO Receipts and all the inventory transaction type.
The utility work as follows:
We have modified the ‘Inventory Distribution’ screen and added the ‘Import Serial No’ Button. Refer the below screenshot. This button will be enabled only for the serial item.
On clicking the ‘Import Serial No’ button the new screen will be displayed. In this screen user has to select the appropriate file of that serialize item.
On clicking of the ‘Proceed’ button program will update serial number information in temporary table from source file.
Once all validation are cleared then serialize information will display in detail grid. User has to manually click “Proceed” button for further processing. If user clicks the ‘Cancel’ button then distribution will not be saved.
