Change the BTO Kit item component for existing sales order

In MAS 500 system user can set BTO Kit Item type along with their components. Based on that user has created Quote/Order transaction in system; BUT due to X factor they have increased their components item after the transaction.

For e.g. Client is in computer hardware business which are selling computers and electronic items. They are using BTO Kit items for processing and had multiple components item. Let take example of COMPUTER item that have components like MONITER, KEYBOARD, CPU etc. For confirmed orders client have created Sales Order transaction in MAS 500 system. Now client offered the PEN drive and some GAME CD’s free due to several factors like season, to increase Sales activities. These new components are easily incorporated in newly created sales orders but to incorporate new changes to existing transaction, user has to delete that sales order line and re-enter the same which is not a logical solution.

To handle this situation, Greytrix has developed an utility to change BTO kit component items for existing Sales Orders. The functionality of this utility is as follows…

  • The program will read all the open sales order that has BTO Kit Item which is passed as an input parameter.
  • The program checks if the picking sheet is generated in the system for that sales order. If yes then it will check if the shipment is generated or not. If the generated shipment is present for the sales order then procedure will exclude those sales orders from processing.
  • The program will check if the picking sheet is generated but the shipment is not generated then procedure will delete the generated picking sheet and update the sales order BTO Kit item components.
  • For User has to re-generate the picking sheets for changed sales order.
