Enhancing Quote-to-Order Efficiency with New Company Creation and Customer Promotion

In today’s blog, we are excited to introduce a new enhancement in the Quote-to-Order workflow — the addition of a New Company button along with improved Customer and Bill-To Promotion capabilities, enabling a more seamless and efficient conversion experience.

In many scenarios, users create Quotes for prospect customers (non-promoted companies) or select Bill-To customers that are not yet promoted in the system. This often led to additional manual steps, interruptions in the workflow, and potential delays in order processing.

To address this requirement, we have introduced the ability to create a New Company directly during the conversion process, along with options to promote customers seamlessly within the same flow. Users can now promote a Prospect Customer directly from the Quote Summary screen using the Promote Customer button, ensuring that the customer is ready for further transaction processing without leaving the screen.

Once the customer is promoted, the system displays a confirmation message indicating that the customer has been successfully created and synced.

Additionally, if a Bill-To Customer selected during Quote creation is not promoted, the system now provides a dedicated Promote Bill To option during the conversion process. Upon clicking this option, a pop-up window is displayed, allowing users to complete the promotion instantly without disrupting their workflow.

These enhancements have been designed to support key business scenarios. For instance, users can create a new company without promoting it, generate a Quote against that prospect, and later promote the customer directly from the Quote screen. Similarly, users can assign a non-promoted customer as a Bill-To entity and promote it during the conversion to an Order through a guided and intuitive process.

By enabling customer creation and promotion within the same workflow, this enhancement eliminates unnecessary navigation, reduces manual intervention, and ensures that all required customer data is properly maintained before order creation.

This improvement significantly enhances user experience by ensuring a smoother Quote-to-Order journey, minimizing delays, and maintaining data integrity. It empowers users to manage customer information more effectively while keeping the overall process fast.
