How to migrate companies from ACT! to Sage CRM

In our previous blog, we discussed How to migrate Goldmine Companies into Sage CRM using GUMU™. In continuation with our series GUMU™ CRM Migration services, this blog shall discuss about how to migrate ACT! Companies into Sage CRM using GUMU™
GUMU™ is a wizard type utility that converts ACT! Data into Sage CRM or Sage
Company records from ACT! are migrated in the Sage CRM Company Master. The same is applicable for all other master information related to ACT! Company which similarly gets migrated to Sage CRM. For e.g. Address, Phone Number etc.
To understand this in better way, we shall refer the below screenshot. ACT! Company i.e. ‘LYNX PROFESSIONAL GRILLS’ is migrated in Sage CRM along with its other master attributes.
After data migration from ACT! , values of ACT! Company gets converted with the following mapping:
In the above table we can see the Company fields of ACT! as reflected in Sage CRM. Once the migration is completed, the Company data is mapped to the requisite fields in Sage CRM.
As seen in the screenshot below, after migration, ACT! Company data is reflected in its requisites fields in Sage CRM.
Also the Contacts linked with associated company will get linked in Sage CRM after migration. You can find those in Sage CRM under the Company’s People tab.
Note: ACT Companies which are associated with people but do not exist in ACT! (I.e. unlinked company) also gets migrated as Company in Sage CRM.
For better understanding, please check the below screenshot. Here “29 Soaring Club Inc.” company from ACT! which is associated with a person but does not exist in ACT! Company record, gets migrated as a Company in Sage CRM.
