Country code setting in GUMU™ integration

By | July 28, 2015

Our GUMU™ for Sage CRM – Sage 100 integration is real time bi-directional integration which synch all the customer data (Customer/Address/Contact) from Sage CRM to Sage 100 and vice versa.
After installation of GUMU™ integration, there are some pre-requisite points which needs to be done prior to start using GUMU integration. Country code setting is one of those pre-requisite setting.  This setting is important to synchronize addresses correctly from Sage CRM to Sage 100 and vice versa.

Let’s see this Country code setting in more detail.
In Sage CRM, if you check in Address entity, there will be country field of type selection. This field contains all the options within it for most of the countries.  In Sage 100 also there is country selection field. But if you check value for these both fields in both systems you will find it is different for some of the countries.
For example if you check value for USA country option in Sage CRM, it will be US while in Sage 100 value for USA country is USA.  In this case, if you try to update any address in Sage CRM, it may not get updated to Sage 100 due to this mismatch of country code value.

This value for each country should be same in both Sage CRM as well as Sage 100. For this reason, we will have to update value in Sage CRM for each country to match it with country value from Sage 100.
Once this is done , user will be able to update addresses from Sage CRM to Sage 100 and vice versa using GUMU™ Sage CRM – Sage 100 integration.
