Today in this blog, we will discuss about troubleshooting tips for resolving an error message related to ‘Data Source Name GUMUMAS500’ while configuring GUMU from Sage CRM side in GUMU™ Sage CRM – Sage 500 integration link.
Error Message: While configuring GUMU integration for a Company Code, user may come across an error message saying “Data Source name GUMUMAS500 not found. Please specify valid data source name”.
Refer below image for error.
User will not be able to save the Configuration details when this error occurs.
Reason: This issue generally occurs when GUMUMAS500 DSN is not properly configured OR SQL details in DSN configuration is either not proper or using windows authentication for logging to SQL for DSN.
Solution:
1.Check the DSN configuration from the path, C:\Windows\SysWOW64 and open “odbcad32.exe”.
2.Check if correct database name is entered.
3.Select SQL Server authentication instead of Windows authentication and enter the SQL Details as shown below.
4.This should resolve the issue and user should be able to configure GUMU from Sage CRM.
